Project overview
A commission for a Catholic church in Kerala covering the sanctuary, altar, and nave flooring. The altar is the centrepiece — a raised block of Makrana marble with a hand-finished carved cross flanked by lily reliefs symbolising purity. The communion rail features turned marble balusters and a continuous top rail cut from a single slab, with no visible joints.
Church · Kerala, IndiaThe baptismal font was hand-carved from a solid marble block following a design provided by the parish priest. The aisle flooring uses alternating polished and honed finishes to create a subtle visual rhythm that draws the eye toward the altar. Marble column cladding with fluted detailing completes the sanctuary — each column finished to match the vein direction of its neighbour.
